Permanent Legs Laser Hair Removal San Diego

Laser hair removal is one of the most popular aesthetic procedures for a reason (or three) ? it saves time, money, and the hassle associated with other hair removal methods. Shaving, plucking, waxing, depilatory creams, and threading all get rid of unwanted hair, but the results only last for mere days or weeks at a time.
Laser hair removal is the only solution for permanent hair reduction. And thanks to technological advances, it’s now even easier for people of all skin types to permanently remove unwanted hair.

How much does it cost to permanently remove leg hair?

Service type:One session:Four-session package:
Full legs$299$940 ($235 per session)
Upper legs$199$664 ($166 per sesssion)
Lower legs$185$596 ($185 per session)

How does laser hair removal work?

Lasers safely remove unwanted hair by focusing highly concentrated light energy into the hair follicles. When the correct laser is used and adjusted to the person’s skin type, the laser is able to target the pigment within the hair follicle. As the laser light is absorbed, it destroys the hair growth in the center of the follicle without damage to the surrounding skin. Once the follicle is damaged, it will never grow hair again.
Laser hair removal only works when the hair is in the active growth phase. Hair grows in three phases: active, resting, and transition. And because each individual hair grows at its own rate, not every hair follicle is in the same phase at the same time. So most people require several treatments to achieve the silky smooth skin they desire.

Legs laser hair removal: How many sessions are needed to get results?

Most people need an average of 5 to 8 sessions with 4 to 6 weeks between. There are several factors that determine how many treatments each individual needs. These factors include the treatment area, the type of hair that grows there, and the person’s skin type. People with lighter skin and dark, coarse hair are able to use the laser at a higher setting because of the contrast between their skin and hair. This means they may require fewer treatment sessions.  People with lighter, finer hair and less contrast can still see results with laser hair removal, but they may require more treatment sessions.

Laser hair removal FAQ

  • Is laser hair removal permanent?

Once a hair follicle is destroyed, it will no longer grow hair. But there is no guarantee that the laser will destroy every single hair follicle. In some cases, hair regrowth is possible. Some clients like to return once or twice a year for touchup treatments to keep their skin smooth and silky.

Although there is some discomfort associated with laser hair removal, it is minimal. Some patients compare the sensation to that of a rubber band flicking against the skin.
